John Cooper Carpets opened for business in 1971. Since that time nine other carpet shops have opened in opposition locally, then subsequently closed down. We must be doing something right because we are still here. More than anything else, we believe, it is our dedication to quality, both in materials and workmanship, that has allowed us to thrive. We offer total integrity, and an intelligent, interested approach to our clients. We promise always to give you the best possible information and advice that is available.

With racks of Indian, Chinese, Afghan, and Persian rugs, thousands of samples, and often a throng of customers, the showroom in Lymington is often rather congested. We hope that visitors will excuse the seeming chaos of this 'quart in a pint pot'.  We really have got pretty-well everything that's worth seeing, and customers like to feel that they are dealing with a proper working local shop, rather than a soulless superstore.
